Hello, swallowed all Frontlines and Palladium Wars books in 3 months. Palladium is mostly rolling out but I totally dig the story telling and the plot setting.
For the Frontlines, last 2 books are kind of slow and perhaps could be joined into one, but as a concious reader I understand you want to have a steady stream of content going on.
Got an idea for a huge plot-twist in future: Lankies being a bio-engineered species designed for pioneering worlds for even more advanced aliens. That would make sense and explain lack of communication with Lankies, animal-like behaviour and so on.
Keep those stories coming Marko!
Greetings from Poland,
Tomasz
My god, what amazing reads. I am a Marine, Combat veteran and a Pilot.. i have to say you have captured the essence of it all. Every time i read/listen to your series it always gives me flashbacks with cold sweats some times. Thank you, thank you.
Thank you! You have no idea how much that means to me.
I have been enjoying reading your Frontlines series. I am currently reading Orders of Battle. Will there be more novels in this series?
Hello from Maine Herr Kloos!
Former enlisted Army grunt and author living in central Maine.
Please allow me to buy you a drink if you’re ever in my neighborhood?
Nothing deeper or of literary consequence – just one soldier respecting another.
Cheers and stay safe,
Nat P
Band einzustellen.
I am binge reading the Frontlines series and enjoying them immensely. Half-way through Points of Impact. Love your writing style and character portrayal. Will most likely move on to the Palladium Wars.
I would love to know why Halley was unable to respond to Andrew for over a week after the conclusion of the second battle of Mars (ending of Fields of Fire).
Keep up the good work!
Sehr Herr Kloos,
Just read Orders of Battle (read all of them in order over the last 3-4 years) and have read both of your Palladium Wars books (eagerly waiting for sequels!). I don’t normally drop words of praise, but I just learned about your stuff on Netflix and I’m excited to watch this. TIP: I find myself visiting Reddit (an easy way to follow science fiction writers, hobbies, shows I follow, etc) and would recommend creating a fan page there (Stephen King has one, surprise surprise). You should also follow sci fi writers and maybe drop in and give some feedback/advice). Regardless, I’m happy for your success and wish you many more of your characters finding they’re way to the TV/silver screen!
Thank you! I am not sure I am a big enough name for a Reddit fan page, and nothing is more depressing than a dead fan forum, so I haven’t made that a priority.
Just binge read both of your series. I couldn’t put them down. I’m dangling on a hook after Order of Battle! So glad I found your books. I’m a NH native and love that you live there. Thank you!
I have several errors from Orders of Battle I’d like to share. There were five I found but didn’t write out the first one. If you are interested, please feel free to email me for them. I will list here one of them: Chapter 16: I like to tap into the ETERNAL sensor feeds…
Marko,
I just finished Orders of Battle (FL#7) and wanted to thank you for continuing your fine work. Your work, and that of countless other authors, have been essential to surviving the 2020 COVID lockdown in Belgium.
Also, I wanted to compliment you on the overall tone of war and combat in your writing. As a veteran of Afghanistan and Iraq, the subtle acknowledgment of the cost and personal struggle really gives a window into the heart of a soldier which transcends time or national identity.
Best wishes for 2021.
Dziękuję za odpowiedź.
Teraz jeszcze bardziej czekam na polską premierę.
P.s.
Rozumiem, to trudny język nawet dla części Polaków 😉
Thank you for your answer.
Now I am waiting even more for the Polish premiere.
P.s.
I understand, it’s a difficult language even for some Poles 😉
witam.
Przeczytałem 6 części serii Frontlines… kilka razy.. :-)).
Teraz czekam z niecierpliwością na wydanie tłumaczenia 7 części..
Moje pytanie dotyczy sposobu walki Ludzi z Obcymi.
Jakaś neurotoksyna, wirus albo bakteria pożerająca ciało załatwiły by sprawę lub chociaż znacznie ułatwiły walkę…
Ciekawi mnie, czemu pominął Pan to rozwiązanie?
Pozdrawiam
Daniel
Witam Daniel,
Coś innego zacznie się dziać w książce numer 7, a my zobaczymy użycie broni biologicznej.
I was wondering why there is a lot of smog in the earth during the Frontline Series? Wouldn’t they have reduce emissions of smog from gas burning vehicles when they are using hydrogen and electric cars? Also with mag-lev trains all over the world the amount of flying and traveling by cars would cause emissions to drop. The power plants mentioned are fusion power which do not polluted. These were all mentioned in the book but there is still smog? Can you explain why there is smog? Maybe I am missing something?
Dear Mr. Kloos
With the next entry of the Frontlines series “Orders of Battle” due in a few December i have started to reread the series start to finish. This is my 4th full read through. I just finished “Chains of Command” again. Normally i can only read a series once, maybe twice if its one of my favorites but this is not the case for “Frontlines”. Even though i already have the books almost memorized at this point and know exactly what will happen i still fond myself engrossed with the story. I cant put my kindle down just like the 1st time reading it. Thank you for your hard work putting together such an amazing story that allows us to escape reality for a bit. I cant wait for the next entry in a few months and hope they keep coming.
A huge fan
Brian Walsh
I got new’s for you buddy. I’ve been reading the Palldium wars just finished book 2 and went to see when 3 is coming out. If have to wait almost a year for book 3 you can forget it. it’s good but it’s not that good. If you think you can pull a David Weber on your readers and keep them it not gonna happen. I’ll find someone else to read and scerw you. Your not getting anymore of my money or time.
Hey Marko,
Adam Burch here, Author of SONG OF EDMON, also published through 47North. Just finished the first book of the Palladium Wars series and wanted to say “great job”. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to picking up more of your work.
All the best,
-ADAM-
I’ve just finished Ballistic and I just wanted to say that I really love the new series as well and will follow this as eagerly as I did the Frontlines saga. Thank you for all the good stories, sir!
Hi Marko,
first of all, the Frontlines-Series is great! I am listening to the (german) audiobooks and I am nearly finished with the 4th book!
Gruss zurueck an Muenster!
