Today is release day for BALLISTIC, the second novel in the Palladium Wars series.
You can obtain this fine product over at Amazon, where operators are standing by to take your money for the Kindle, trade paperback, hardcover, or audiobook versions. Heck, buy them all and complete the set!
For the BALLISTIC giveaway, I have decided to bump the number of books up from 5 to 10, and I will keep the contest going for the rest of the day. Leave your entry comment on the original post for the giveaway if you want to be included, but be aware that the cut-off time is midnight Pacific time, and I won’t include any entries submitted after that point. Tomorrow morning, I will let the computer draw ten names out of the hat and post the winners. (One entry per person, please…no stuffing the entry box.)
This marks my eighth published novel, and number nine is coming in December. For the rest of the day, I will now follow the time-honored tradition of Obsessively Refreshing The Product Page To Check Sales Rank…
Loving this new series! Just finished book 2, and looking forward to seeing where it goes. Great work building out the different cultures.
Just finished – while I echo some of Sergeant Aradir’s frustration, I am less frustrated at the end of Ballistic than I was at the end of Aftershocks. Your character building and narration is superb. Further, I feel as though with this series you have a clear vision for the future of the series. You know where it is going, have a complete plot outline worked out, and are crafting a story. While I truly love Frontlines, I often felt that it was a bit more discovery learning on your part. As though the story evolved, rather than being crafted from clear idea you had at the outset. Since I love your viewpoint, I appreciate both and am looking forward to the next installments of both series. Frankly, there is no author currently writing who has a stronger pull on my loyalty and emotions. Thanks again for bringing such superb tales to life. All the best for you and your fam, and hoping our current pandemic situation does you and yours no harm.
“I did not do it, take this one instead,” Dahl said to Idina over the helmet comms. “they all think they are the first ones to think of that joke.”
So true.
Thank you for yet another wonderful book. Yes, yes, yes, I wish they came out more frequently, but I completely understand the amount of time you need to put in to your craft. And I love the payoff!
I’m also happy to hear that you’re working on another Frontlines book. It was fun reading your interview with Andrew Liptak, and I appreciated how the switch gave you some space to breathe mentally.
Again, thank you for wonderful writings.
I have preordered long time ago 😉 thanks for the book.

P.s.: To be clear: I fucking loved the reading while it was going. It is wellwritten, but i got frustrated the moment i realized this was actually the end after so very little had been done and said 😀
Man, iam really frustrated right now. It feels like i have just read 309 pages with a single decision by all characters (namely the Crew handing over the you-know-what) to be made. Thats it.
And different then in Frontlines its all so shadowy and hidden that iam not really interested or invested in the threat. The big plottwist in this finale leaves me absolutly cold, because i have no way to relate to any of it.
Sorry, but i need the feeling that the figures are actually moving forward. Instead iam feeling like reading the first part of a later David Weber-novels that has been split for translation without my knowledge. I was legitimatly surprised when i reached the end of this book, just like the last time. The read is good and smooth, but i always feels like more of an epilogical series and less like full novels.
Super excited to find Ballistic on my kindle this morning… and the announcement for Frontlines Book 7 in my email. 🙂
Woohoo! Hope you climb to the top of the sales charts 🙂
Hi Marko, just finished Ballistic, absolutely loved it. I am only sad that I have to wait for more. Woke up this morning to a calendar notification I had set myself to remind myself the book came out today and since I started reading it this morning at 10am I haven’t put it down for more than 20 minutes till I finished it just now. Its a great ride of a story and gave me a good chuckle at points too. Its so rare to find a series of books with multiple characters in which none are a weak point. I have genuinely enjoyed each story line and the way they intersect is skillfully done. Thanks for the entertainment in this time of isolation, my only wish is for more!
