It’s August 10th somehow already. That means CITADEL, book 3 in the Palladium Wars, is out today!
You can find it here in all the usual formats (hardcover, paperback, Audible, and Kindle):
This is the book I wrote while the pandemic took off last year, and it was the toughest one to write of all the novels I have written because it turns out that tuning out the world and focusing on a fictional universe is super hard when the actual world is seemingly falling apart all around you. But I really like the way it turned out, and I think it’s the best one in the series yet. I certainly can’t tell now which writing days were good and which ones had me feel like Conan on the Wheel of Pain.
Anyway, I hope you buy it, and if you do, I really hope you enjoy it.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be over here engaging in my traditional release day rituals of eating carbs and hitting “refresh” on the product page for the book…
Finished citadel last night , great book yet again , please tell me there is a book 4 coming as still so many questions unanswered ? Cheers Dave in the U.K.
Marko , you are audible book CRACK !!! I just can’t get enough ! I sincerely hope that you will write many more installments on the Palladium series . Your character development has been great ! Every time you switch me from Solvieg to Dunstan to Aden to Idina , I am left wanting to finish that story line . I say that as a good thing ! Each one leaves me wanting to see what happens next . You just don’t have ANY dead spots in your Palladium writing/ story line !!
I see from some of your comments that writing can be difficult in these trying times . I just want to say thank you and hope you know how much enjoyment you give to many people ! Your writing allows us to escape the problems of our world for a little while .
I , like many others , miss Luke Daniels as your narrator. I do , however, understand that you have to make logical decisions when you are thrown a curve ball when trying to get your books out . It’s your creation , but also your BUSINESS . If you don’t get the books out for the public , you’re not making money !
I hope you continue to wow us with your trade ! I am looking forward to more Palladium books ! I also hope that you are going to start helping get an understanding of the Lankies in your Frontlines series. I really enjoyed the development of the relationship between Andrew with Halley ! Thanks again and WRITE FASTER so us Kloos druggies can get our fix !!
@PUDDINHEAD007 It looks good in email format that was sent. I wonder if you put html breaks or if it would look better?
Above is just a normal carriage return. Next comes a br Lastly I will put p Iet’s see what works.
I had normal carriage returns in the original. I wonder if it’s because I’m commenting from an Android phone rather than a laptop or desktop? Thanks for fixing the original.
Anyone know why WordPress removes all the formatting from your comments when you click send? My last rather lengthy comment was formatted properly into several paragraphs but WordPress just removed my spacing and indentation when I pressed “Send”. It irritates me that WordPress makes my comments look like they were written by a 3rd grader.
Got my copy yesterday. I’m in the middle of chapter 6. So far, so good. I really love your writing.
I’ve been following you since way back before Facebook took over the web. You were giving away PDFs of your first Frontlines book. I believe it was titled “Terms of Enlistment”. I don’t comment much. I’m just a lurker mostly.
I’m really loving “The Palladium War” series. You have a knack for military science fiction that has the sound of experience.
If I remember correctly you served in the German military during your younger years. I’ve found when reading any genre, the books are always so much better if the author has some meaningful experience in what he or she is writing about.
Research only goes so far. Experience adds so much more when it comes to books about science fiction.
Okay, I’m enjoying the hell out of “Citadel” but like all good things it must come to an end. I hope you’re already working on the next book in “The Palladium Wars” series.
You’ve got a fan for life here Marko. I’ll buy a hardcover of anything you write. I can’t stand e-readers. I’ve got to hold, feel and smell a book to really enjoy it. If I’m forced to it, I’ll eventually use e-readers or e-reader apps but I’ll stick with hardcover as long as possible. I don’t give a damn if they go to $50+ each.
I’ll be dead and gone and my youngest daughter will be reading my 1000+ hardcovers by the time everyone is forced to use e-readers.
Enough out of me for now. I’m old and forgetful and tend to ramble sometimes.
May I ask why the river is called Duna and not Danube or Donau?
Just finished reading Citadel. Another winner. Keep ’em coming.
Just finished Citadel. What a ride!! Can’t wait for the next one.
Is this the last in the series or are you planning more? Like the other commenters I’m re-reading the first 2 books before I start this one, just as good the second time round
There will be at least one more.
Purchase forthcoming.
It’s here already. Buying it tonight.
Hi Marko, I listened to the first two books of the series. I am pleased to say I will be listening to Citadel very shortly. Thank you for the quality of your work. Don’t stress too much. You are good.
Can’t wait to listen to the audiobook when I get done with work!
Amazon has just notified that my copy is on its way to my home in Rome (Italy).
ETA August the 17th.
Wow!
So excited to start reading this and find out what happens next! Got a couple more chapters on my re-read of ballistic then on to Citadel…
