Today is the release day for DESCENT, the fourth installment of the Palladium Wars!
If you already preordered it, you should either have the paperback in your mailbox, or the ebook magically appeared on your Kindle this morning. For those who haven’t preordered, it’s available in paperback, Kindle, and Audible formats. (No hardcover this time, sorry.)
The jacket copy:
“POW Aden Jansen has lost a decade of his life to both the war and internment when he’s recruited by the Alliance. He’s to return to Gretia as an undercover Blackguard operative and destroy Odin’s Wolves—an insurgency that’s setting his home world afire. The mission comes with a full pardon and a chance to reclaim his identity. It also means rejoining his friends and family in space. That’s motive enough. If he can succeed—and survive.
Dunstan Park is on piracy patrol to track down the spaceborne arm of the uprising. Meanwhile, the rebels’ insidious terrorist cells are targets for battle-hardened insurgent hunter Idina Chaudhary and her Palladian commandos. As for Aden’s sister, Solveig, she’s put herself in the line of fire before, but discovering who’s bankrolling Odin’s Wolves is as dangerous as it is personal.
As Aden works his way back into the confidence of his comrades, the stealth campaign to sow discontent descends into chaos. At risk: Aden’s legacy, and the very stability of a galaxy struggling for peace against all odds.”
That sums it up in broad strokes, so if you’ve read the first three installments and this sort of thing floats your boat, get your copy today!
For those who asked about the projected length of the series–there will be at least one more installment, hopefully in the first half of next year.
Trying to buy this as a Kindle ebook on Amazon.co.uk from Ireland. The only available formats there are Audio book and Paperback. When will the Kindle Ebook be available? Really looking forward to read it.
I’m enjoying the Frontlines series; I’m on the latest book Centers if Gravity. I have a couple gripes. I’m about half way to get book and the STT is the one Lanky cavern and Grayson decided to give it Doc another 5 minutes to do samples even though Lankys are you the way. As a veteran of every Lanky conflict Grayson knows you don’t even have seconds when a Lanky in near. Five minutes was out of character
Also the SEALs fighting the Lankys in the tunnel, since the tunnel is so narrow just killing a couple Lankys could possibly block the tunnel for a little while, enough time to get hi-ex and boogy.
Thanks for listening.
My only complaint with the book is that I want more! Can’t wait for the next one.
I would just like to say that is amazing. You have this private little platform for those of us who absolutely love the worlds that you create to follow along and be in touch with you. You’re my favorite author. The front lines universe is my favorite Science Fiction universe ever created, And the entire reason I am a reader at all. I’m grateful to you and I hope you never stop adding more! Oh what I would do for a copy signed by Andrew Grayson himself.
Sorry this is on a post about another series, I didn’t see anywhere else to post about my love of frontlines!
I hope you are thinking about prequels/origin stories for the Palladium Wars worlds. Would love some glimpses of the colonizations, and how the cultures on each planet developed.
Book bought. aRC read a while back. 5-star review submitted at Amazon.
When is Marko going to finish the Frontlines series? The last book I read saw the main character stranded in following the Lankies.
Never ever thought I would be so enthralled – and that’s the word: ENTHRALLED – by military sci-fi. Loved Frontlines, and miss the original characters, but the Palladium Wars? WOW. Pre-ordered Descent as soon as that was available, and am now re-reading the series as a catch up. Awesome characters, world building and story. You really know how to pace it.
My biggest question: any chance this series be made into movies or TV? Palladium Wars is so much better than most of the drivel in “print” these days. Wonder what GRRM would have to say about that?
Yeah it’s great, isn’t it? Frontlines is awesome. And has hard as it is to believe I found I love Palladium Wars even more. I’m also excited for each new book. I’ve finished Descent and very excited for E.
Awesome thankyou! Very excited to read this one, all your books I’ve enjoyed immensely.
Was so excited this morning to see the email from Amazon saying it’s on it’s way!!! Can hardly wait!
It showed up at midnight Pacific and I listened to 5 minutes before.
No please – not just one more installment. The alphabet doesn’t end at E .
Any plans for a hardcover release? My shelf needs one to go with the other 3 Palladium Wars entries.
Also, I hope this series runs to “Z”.
This is my question, I won’t be buying and reading this until I know if I can match my other hardcovers with this one. It seems a shame if I’d have to buy a different format moving forward.
Very excited to start reading – I have timed re-reading the first three poorly though so I am only half way through Ballistic and will have to wait a few days before starting! Looking forward to seeing how many times and in what creative ways Idina will be blown up this time. 😀
It does! Just finished Scorpio, so good timing!
