Castle Frostbite just got a major Internet upgrade:
I opted for the 50Mbps down/25Mbps up package, and as you can see, Speedtest says we’re getting pretty close to that. Our DSL line was 1.5Mbps down/0.75Mbps up, so this is a significant jump in bandwidth.
And look at that latency. It’s a thing of beauty.
I would have vulched many red and yellow airfields for a connection like that back in the Warbirds/Dawn of Aces days circa 2000.
You can never have too much money or too much bandwidth….
oh dear *Insert Deity of Choice*!!! I must confess to drooling…
Error: Does not compute.
“Blah blah, blah, Comcast sucks.”
Still better than 7/1.5 DSL that also intermittently sucks.
(And we have Comcast Business here at work, and there is literally nothing wrong with it.)
I just signed up for Comcast’s 50/12 yesterday, having finally gotten sick of CenturyLink not offering anything faster than 7/1.5 in my area.
It will be blissful when they install it.
Speed, like horse power, has no excuses. It is a good and rightful thing.
Wow! I live in Orange County CA and I’m jealous of Castle Frostbite. Who is your vendor?
Local outfit called WiValley. They’re using the NH FastRoads infrastructure, which was a federal grant thing to get fiber to all the towns along the Dartmouth College corridor. Profs and students gotta have their YouTubez, I guess.
